The island is in the Ionian Sea.It is one of the Southern Echinades Islands.
The total surface is 993.900 sq.m with a stunning seashore whose perimeter has measured at 7.280 m , offering crystal blue waters and breathtaking views.

The island has single ownership by one private individual. There are clear and marketable title deeds and the island is ready for transfer.
This Island has perhaps the most mature planning status among the other private Greek islands . It has been granted special planning / building regulations, offering a great development opportunity , 71 luxurious villas of 150 sqm each or a 5 stars Hotel ( suites ) could be built.

For the development of the island , the following steps have been taken up to date ;
Determination of the allowable uses of the island and characterization as a zone of touristic development.
Technical and environmental studies for the opening of the peripheral road of 7.3 km and the internal roads of 3.5 km.
Preliminary study for the provision of electricity, water, telephone ( with undersea cable).
Studies for the public works on the island ( dissemination of electrical energy , water, telephone , biological cleaning , tree planting ).
All necessary studies for the permission and construction of a marina , of a fishing shelter and a helicopter port.

Skorpios Island ( owned by Onassis in the past , now by the Russian Oligarc Rybolovlev) is close to Echinades Islands.
